A professionally licensed clinician, Karissa has emphatically began her lifelong interest of writing. Writing has always been her passion and participating in the anthology project, "Can't Tell Me Nothing," has made it a reality. Life has a way with creating perfect timing and it is what has allowed her to relate and contribute towards this unique compilation of real-life stories told by black women such as herself. When she is not absorbed in living her dreams out loud, Karissa enjoys being a mother, singing, dancing, spending time with family, football and traveling. She is a New Orleans native residing in the Houston area where she launched her private practice to support Texas and Louisiana residents while on their journey to wellness.
